Sunday, May 24, 2020 - Had to open one and see what the fuss was about. 3-4 hour decant. Bright luminescent red coloring (so unnaturally bright that my son mistook it for soda). The nose burst from the glass with sweet red cherries, raspberry and violets. I’m not well experienced in Italian wines and the body was thinner than I expected but it drank very clean, very well balanced. Palate was consistent with the nose with touch of pepper and mint. Some acid yes, some tannin but nothing that suggested to me that drinking one already was infanticide.
