Tuesday, November 9, 2021 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. Med straw with a hint of green. Med (+) juicy fruit aromas of ripe lemon, white peach, vanilla, pineapple, banana, fresh Mediterranean herbs. Youthful. No oak. Dry, with generous fruit and med to med (+) mouth-cleansing, juicy acidity and med alcohol (13%). Well-balanced and delicious, this Grillo has more body and intensity than others in this price bracket. Med to med (+) flavor intensity and length, with fresh herbs and grapefruit on the finish. Sauvignon-like. Great QPR. Very reliable from year to year. Drink now, not intended for aging, but it should show well through at least 2022. Tasted again on 6/19/22 with consistent results.
