February 24, 2021 - Pale ruby. On the nose medium intensity red candied cherries, red currant, strawberry, raspberry, toast. On the palate the wine is dry with high acidity, medium chalky tannins, medium alcohol and medium body. The flavor intensity is medium plus with red cherry, redcurrant, strawberry, raspberry, toast. There is a fresh bright feel to the palate. The finish is medium. The wine is a simple, balanced wine without the usual complexity and interest of a Burgundian PN.

September 6, 2019 - Bought 6b for 21+/b last week during WL's end-of-summer sale. The short-term effects of long-distance shipping (e.g., vibration, temperature variations) can affect a wine's flavor so I rarely try wines until they've settled in the basement for a few weeks; this was an exception since I wanted a young red Burg for an event. No decant, and none needed. Medium ruby; rich red/black tree fruit nose and some subdued oak; subtle black cherry, oak, some smokiness, very good mouthfeel; good persistence. Delicious! Took a second bottle to a dinner the next evening, and some experienced wine folks noted how much they enjoyed this. Delicious--glad I have more and inclined to buy a few more. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.
