Big soft lucious 100% Cab Franc; classy; at 2 yrs old still an obvious tannic grip. Potential. Not ready....2019?

December 29, 2016 - This one had all the markers: tobacco, black cherry, cassis, spiced raspberry, and smoky with touches of earthy, cigar box, and a leathery backing, plus there's nice dark (85%) cocoa ... Great complexity and nicely layered. Franc really got the respect it deserves from Catena.

July 7, 2015 - Fragrant nose of violets with ripe dark fruits and herb edge on the palate. Very good.
