January 25, 2020 - Dark red with clear edges. Medium intense nose, green pepper, thyme, dark chocolate and plums. Very concentrated dry dark fruit and dark chocolate flavours and a very high acid almost shrill finish.

February 22, 2018 - Zero ullage. Took a glass out using Coravin. Dark centre with brick light red rim. Classic leafy cassis nose with hints of light menthol, eucalypt and boot polish. In perfect shape, a great surviving bottle/cork with a smooth very much alive palate. Drying tannins at the close with a real lick of blackberry. Filling out as decanted. Got to heap praise on an Aussie red that reaches the quarter century mark in perfect shape. Bravo!

October 12, 2017 - Touch menthol on opening but this reduced. Deep blackcurrant nose. Pretty deep colour too. A little thin / hollow to start and rather a spiky sort of mid-palate. Drying tannins on the finish. This definitely improved with air and was at its best after around 2 hours when the spikiness had gone and the over-dry finish settled down. A decent drop if not terribly exciting. Holding up well, but do give it a decant.

    April 16, 2017 - Still drinking well
Difficulty extracting cork, perhaps not surprisingly
