February 8, 2024 - Northern Rhône (Noizé): This is great - others (with more experience of this house) found more nuanced differences between this and the 07 - but to me this was just MORE - more taut energy, more substance, more clarity - there's no waffling here, no messing about - this is the real deal. Not my wine of the night, but perhaps the one I'd most like to try again.

January 5, 2024 - Rounding off well. Black olives, dark fruit, nice acidity, a sweet note as well. Certainly no hurry here; convincing.

December 21, 2023 - This bottle of 2010 Pierre Gonon St. Joseph opened with an insane nose of cabbage and burnt hay, not unlike a Rayas CdP. The palate was more brooding - dark, stewed fruit and a long finish of green and white pepper and orange rind. Still young and tannic and can gain a point or two in another few years but my wife and I were glad to try this cult producer. 93+/100 for now.
