Dg 2020, 2014 base.

On opening it was pretty reductive and tight, but you get a nice feeling for the length of the wine.

Decided to decant it.

Lemon, white peaches, white blossoms, vanilla, crushed rocks, lemon pith, spices, brioche. Very good tension. Good weight and long finish. I couldn't help but to think it was a champagne-ified white burgundy (perhaps something like a corton charlemagne)?

Echoing the others here. Very interesting wine. Very vinous. Fun to drink now but would be great to see how it evolves over time.

Beautiful nose on opening, tropical fruits, lemon cream, white blossoms, matchstick. However, palate was a little shy and a little thin on opening. Took about an hour for the acidity to fill out and round out the palate. Last glass was rich and with great intensity -- primarily a bright lemon driven palate.

Strong reduction on the nose of perilla/toasted seaseme. Tried again the next morning, it blew off a little, but still there, revealing more lemon, white blossoms, and some vanilla.

On the palate, the weight was really nice. Very well integrated palate. Great QPR for the price, but I found the nose to be quite aggressive on the reduction.

I found Jancis Robison's note on this quite accurate: "Quite big and bold but with lots of youthful acidity too. A slightly mealy, occluded nose and with perceptibly more body than the village wine."

On the palate, the fruit was shy, but the tertiary flavors were very apparent. Lots of leather and tobacco.

Decanted 1 hours, drank a couple of glasses over the 2 hours after that.

Nose of lemon, vanilla, guava, orange blossoms.

On the palate, meyer lemons, honey, white peaches, lemon pith into a finish of crushed rocks, salinity, light spices, lemon cream. Medium long finish. The pith bitterness seems to be driving the core of the palate and it wasn't super pleasant.

Saved the rest for the next evening (24h+). The pithiness rounded out and was much more balanced and pleasant.

Took a while a while to open up. 5hrs decanted and then drank over 3 hours. Ripe strawberries, raspberries, cherries, plums, forest floor, mushrooms, and spice box/mineral finish. Absolutely delicious.

Quite delicious. A bit austere upon opening like with a lot of soleras. Takes about 1-1.5hrs for it for the fruit to start showing.

Shortly after open, on the nose: signature coche gunflint, white blossoms, vanilla, peaches, lemon, light herbal quality.

On the palate, there's a slight hint of ripe mangoes and pineapples wrapped with lemon, black pepper, wet stones, and a bit of lemon pith. Mid palate is more on the savory side. Body is not too heavy (medium+). Finish is long and sometimes a bit of ripe pineapple shines through.

After 2-2.5hrs of air as it opened, meyer lemons, tropical fruits like apricot and mango, and florals dominate on the nose. On the palate, the same fruits dominate, where it's supported by the spice and minerals and slight bitterness in the background. The way how the fruit shows is beautiful. Delicious!

Lush, velvet, silky. The wine just glides down effortlessly. Cherries, strawberries, plum, blueberries. Slight tobacco and leather, eucalyptus, peppercorn. Fruit was on the ripe side but not overpowering. Long lingering finish. Sublime. So generous PNP, got even better with a little air.

The mid-end palate of the smoke, pepper, game is still there, but the front palate feels like the fruit is fading. More sour cherries with a hint of ripe strawberries.

It gave a lot PNP in terms of texture, nose, and weight, but fruit took a bit of time to show (~1hr or so). The finish initially was quite mineral driven.

Once it opened, the nose is absolutely intoxicating. Intense tropical fruits, honey, a hint of reduction, vanilla, and baking spices.

On the palate, the fruit had great weight. Citrus, creamy orchard fruit, vanilla, baking spices. Refreshing acidity and long finish. Pretty delicious.

Pretty aged. Nose is fantastic but on the palate it lacked primary fruit. Flavors are mainly tertiary. Some citrus, but largely spices, nuts, and some oak.

Good depth and structure. Very powerful acidity -- I'd argue it'd benefit from more time to integrate better.. Notes of cream, strawberries, orange.

Drank over 3-ish hours. Took about 1 hour to open up. It drank really well at that point. However, by the end, the acid kinda took over and overpowered everything.

The fruit quality here drank like artificial cherries, almost -- reminds me of cough syrup. The bottle also completely died the second day. Very sad.

Needs about an hour to an hour and a half of air to really shine. Great acidity, citrus and unripe strawberries. Finish is nice and yeasty and pretty long.
