Ruby, some browning to edge. A real Tondonia in a minor key. Good complexity, with cherry, raspberry and cranberry fruits. Then something smoky, aromatic spices, furniture polish, old church interiors. And more. Simply less concentration and intensity than a Tondonia. Tons of acidity. Medium length. Excellent value.

It was a bit of a revelation for me, having drunk loads of Tondonia and a little Bosconia but I'd never given any attention to Cubillo. That was a mistake!

Drunk over a couple of weeks Coravin. Early glasses very good, 91/92. Tons of dark fruits, smooth tannins, some tertiary notes. Later ones looked tired and very closed or flat. Not quite sure what was going on with this one. Finished off 230319, no further deterioration, drinkable.

Fine wine. Great balance and finesse. Apples, melons, grapefruit. Good acidity. Hints of honey and apricot. Good length. lovely wine. Still quite young.

Have mostly drunk even older vintages about the same age. Just lacked sufficient confidence. Clearly they have a lot more in them, at least out to ten I'd guess. But no idea what they start to taste like.

Terrible cork. Interesting to go back to earlier notes. Just very poor quality, now cracked and useless.
Amber. Nose of bruised apples and butterscotch. Same on palate, plus caramel. Behind this was clearly some citrus acidity.
Ruined by its closure. So opened my 2009 - see next!
