Peach, lime, mango, smoke. Mineral aspects are more obvious on first taste. Clean and pure palate, with low to moderate acid. So fresh and attractive. Youthful and primary but delicious now.

    This wine was also purchased at release and professionally stored. There was some fine sediment that was easily decanted off.

Still maintains a crimson edge and a dark core. Blueberry, cassis, tobacco, earth. Tannins are well integrated as you would expect. There’s good persistence and intensity, and the finish is also quite long. Just a lovely, old Australian shiraz doing its thing.

Classy and elegant. Lifted florals and black pepper, with black fruits and an earthy, leather note. Seamless texture. So well balanced. Drained pretty quickly. Drink or hold.

CS 61%, Shiraz 18%, Petit Verdot 13%, Merlot 8%.
Red and black fruits, almost jubey. Nicely weighted and structured. Varietal. Cedar, spice and tannins are there, but overshadowed by the fruits. Clean and fresh. Good length too. Did not show well the following day though.

    8/5/2020 4:36:00 PM - Hi John, there was a glass or 2 left in the bottle. It was recorked and refrigerated overnight. The next day, it seemed to have lost it's upfront fruits, and was unbalanced. Sometimes I feel that can give a hint about potential longevity.

    12/26/2017 10:54:00 PM - I think it's easily got 5-10 years in it still. Probably longer. It's one of those wines that's classically balanced. If anything, it's still in it's primary phase, although well in to it! I'd hold for at least a year or 2 before trying.

Tight mineral drive on the bright red fruited palate. Really good line and length, with good material at its core. One taster saw some green tinges. Was shown up on the night by the 2011 Cathiard Malconsorts.
The following day, it seemed to open out much more. Had much better palate weight and drive, and was more enjoyable. Be patient on this one.

    5/21/2017 12:56:00 AM - Yes. On the night, the Cathiard was fresh, bright, balanced, approachable. Just a lovely expression of Pinot. In comparison, the Dujac was leaner, and needed more time to reveal it's best.

Honey/amber coloured wine that smells and tastes like honey soaked figs, with a hint of orange rind. It's quite sweet and full flavoured, much like a Muscat. Ideal accompaniment to biscotti.
Grapes used are Grappoli di Bosca, Albarole and Vermentino. Air dried prior to fermentation.

Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave.
Mid yellow hue. Smells of tropical fruit mainly, with a herbaceous note. Light to medium palate. Initially tastes a little sweet, but this reflects the generosity of fruit. It's certainly dry and fresh. There's a hint of bitterness on the short finish.

Medium hue, which is bright. Black currant pastille, smoke, graphite. Juicy and intense palate carries some savoury notes. Ever so fine tannins linger on the long finish. Very nice today.

Lovely, expressive nose. Red fruits - cherries and strawberries. But there is also a dark, earthy, iron component. The palate is intense and is carried by finely balanced acids and tannins. It's got the precise, 'correct', Rousseau stamp of approval. Not a thing out of place. And so much life ahead of it still.
