Not a cellar milestone but as far as tasting notes go, I recently passed over 100 master varieties. Up to 104 now

I'd never looked at them that way, but I currently have 1206 TNs across 137 varieties in 105 master varieties (although one of them is "Apple" for Calvados!).

Somehow my CT cellar has crept above 1000 bottles. Not the first time, but first in maybe 5-6 years and it might explain the stack of box in our basement awaiting "proper" storage.

Quite small but, I've reached 100 bottles of red (I don't track white, we don't drink enough of it / are big enough fans) in my very modest cellar. Have to start somewhere.

Wow, time flies. I remember when I used to recommend CT to other wine drinkers I knew and would say "there's nearly 1 million wine reviews on it".

Growing the cellar is surprisingly easier than drinking down the cellar. Go figure.

In the 1400's, officially headed down.

There is some angst with this trend, I have to admit..... Getting old is not for the faint of heart.

I can attest it is better than the alternative.

Cellar Count hovering just above 1000, and somehow we can't seem to drink it down. Too many tasting trips and tempting e-mails. I don't generally add my pending wines until I take possession and I think I have about a dozen of those at the moment split between Weathereye and Full Pull.

Don't have too much angst! If you're like me, you may be stuck in the 1,400's for some years. I've been trying to get below it for about 5 yrs now and firmly believe this is the year I do it! Currently at 1,424, where I was a couple of years ago, but for the past six months or so I'm acting like I have my buying under control.

Over the last 3 quarters, I've bought 103 versus 180 consumed so on track to crack 1,400 in August. Quit more clubs and slowing down on purchases from other dealers too. Been a long hard haul...fingers crossed!!!

Just went over 100 bottles of Burgundy. 101 now. Next goal is 100 bottles of Red Burgundy. Closing in on 800 bottles in the cellar but everytime I get close we seem to drink more which slows the accumulation.

Just hit 800 bottles for the first time. What’s the over and under for the number of days to hit 900?

Costco is having a nice sale on Eurocave.

I will never catch Bob, but I'm creeping up on 5000 bottles purchased since joining CT almost exactly 14 years ago. That divides out to almost exactly a bottle a day. Yep.

For the record, my count does not include the 10 barrels or so we have produced in Barbilocks' family room.

Yeah…my wife is the limiting factor for sure. I’ve been close to 800 bottles for a while but buying 2X as many as we drink limits the progress. 250 is a good guess. It might take all of 2024. Stock Market has been cooperating nicely.

Chris, I already have two coolers and a storage room that is only 25%-30% full. Lots of room for more bottles there. We can always count on CT enablers here Yes, you’ll never catch Bob.

I'll probably never catch you either, Chris. But I'm trying...

2238 bottles purchased in my 2265 days on CT. So 0.998 bottles per day. Now, really I already had about 100 in my "cellar" when I joined, so I'm not sure if they should count.

More disturbingly, I (well, my wife and I) have consumed 1873 over that span. That works out to 0.83 bottles per day. And that doesn't count restaurant purchases, wines drank at other people's houses, or bottles brought by guests to our dinner parties.

That's probably not good. I think I'll go get a glass of water.

Started with CT November, 2018 which was basically the very start of getting serious about wine for me. (Former beer snob and homebrewer.)
