I've finally had a chance to spend a couple of days with the new Dymo framework, and I have a prototype rewrite to the CellarTracker Dymo code. On the Mac I already use the Framework. The future plan on Windows is to use the Framework if available and otherwise to fall back on the old IE and FireFox specific code using the legacy Dymo API. It is a much more complex codepath for me, but I don't want to force people to upgrade from Dymo 6.5, 7.5, 7.8 or 8.2 if it already works well for them. Anyway, in my early testing the Framework works GORGEOUSLY on Window for IE, FireFox, Chrome and Safari. (I haven't tried Opera, and I also haven't tried 64-bit printers.) I hope to have this working on the main site in the next few days. It shouldn't force anyone to change anything, but for people running Dymo 8.3 they will soon have a lot more flexibility about which browser to use.
