As a follow-up to the new, per-purchase support for currency, I have made the first major overhaul to our bulk import tools in 13 years. https://support.cellartracker.com/article/26-migrating-from-another-system - The bulk import tool now functions well regardless of your date/number formatting locale or your default currency. (Before the tool would struggle with dates and number during the import cycle if your locale was not set to the English (United States).
- If you have purchases in multiple currencies, you can format an import spreadsheet to reflect that.
- We used to require separate spreadsheets for purchase/inventory from consumption/tasting-notes. These are now all unified in one template. This makes it much easier for people to import their consumption history while retaining the associated purchase information.
- Beyond that, we have modernized and cleaned up many of the user-interface elements.
Over the years, nearly 7,000 users have taken advantage of this bulk import feature, and I have personally assisted every single one in the process. Hopefully these upgrades will make it easier, faster, more efficient, and more accurate for users transitioning from existing spreadsheets and other cellar management tools.
