This vineyard has been in production since the 1650s. Right in the midddle of Douro Valley. parcel specific farming and not planted. Organic and certified biodynamic - which is not a thing in the Douro valley. Incredibly steep vineyard as well. Un terraced land about 35 degree angle down to the river. A 93 year old vineyard that was co-planted with 33 varietals all mixed together. Vinified in cement and stainless. 50% whole bunch (changes by vintage). Freshness in a warm place. And allot of wine. Not very hot because of the wind. Ages in 500 L used oak. Very fresh and almost like Cru Beaujolais. A different way to farm and a different way to show the land. Excellent farming, great fruit, piicked at the right time.

On day two, fleshy and juicy, kinda now soft and easy, in a good way.

The highest parcel , bright powdered fruit to it. Salty and mineral and needs some time open to show its hand. The cherry tree.

Interesting, dried out a touch, but I must admit that that is my palate this day.
