  • Very well rounded Gigondas. Has potential to keep but drinks well now.

  • Tried something different, served with oyster stew. Went very well. Very light prune (more current then prune), not too sweet; good alcohol balance; some calk finish. Tannins still propionate, can lay down for several more years---but a fine example of a French wine from this region. Little narrow with some wood tones.

  • Lots of intensity, with a dark, dank nose that leads to an earthy, potent palate. Gamy and ashy notes dominate at first, accompanied by dusty granite. With some time to breathe, vanilla, plum and cassis work their way through. A brief burst of dry, dark fruit quickly recedes in favor of a range of intense herbal and earthy notes: ash, tar, sage, black pepper, cigar tobacco. Moderately tannic, with a lingering ashy note in the finish.

  • Love this produce, extremely big and brawny but oh so tasty!! - Dark, full bodied with a nose of extreme cherry, raspberry, plum, garrigue, kirsch, spice and vanilla, fruit forward, a bit of heat but integrated, interesting, sweet, velvety smooth on the palate with excellent length, always a favourite (91 Points).

  • This has a lot more going on in the mouth than on the nose. A clear, medium ruby color and a clean, nose with medium intensity showing cloves, raisin, dried blackberries, and cedar. On the palate is where this wine shines. The wine is dry with medium-plus acidity and tannins and a beautiful full body with flavors of dried dark fruits (particularly black cherry), lavender, cloves, black tea and well integrated oak notes. This has a long finish and is a very good wine that will likely get better with age.
