Christmas dinner at PRIMA 2010: nose -strong mint, leather (per brian), pine sap (per cindy) mouth - ultrasmooth juicy red cherries, followed by mint. classically built and aged, bravo. Reminded me of some early 90's diamond creek cabs.

This seems to be a winery that doesn't get too much attention on Wine Boards. The 1992 was the first vintage of the Lewis cabernet and it is aging very well. Still quite dark and in no danger of fading; tremendous impression of black cherry on both the nose and palate. The oak is there but is definitely in check. As it sits in the glass the wine develops some minty notes...Overall, an extremely well balanced and well made cabernet.

Deep nose with dark cherries. No detectable bricking. Palate dominated by silky dark fruits. Medium body and long finish with noticable drying tannins. Lots of fruit left, may still benefit from additional cellaring to let tannins resolve. Nice bottle.
