Good color, deep red and no deposit. One hour decant. Nice nose, a little herbaceous with some oak and leather.Medium bodied classic claret mouthfeel, black fruits, coffee, leather and tar. Lingering fresh finish. Lovely stuff for fans of classic claret. Impressive considering the vintage. Drink up.

13% alcohol.CS 57%, M 38%, PV 3%, CF 2%. Good long cork with no more than 2mm of wine penetration. Decanted an hour ahead (I saw afterwards that the château recommends pnp but I am a creature of habit). Medium colour with some bricking at the rim. Very good nose with vivid fruit barely blunted by age; some tobacco leaves too and the oak is not intrusive. The mouth follows suit with great freshness and directness; menthol in the finish. Not a huge concentration, but a sense of understated elegance. A notable success, at least for those who like their Médocs on the lean and taut side. Capable of ageing another ten years without a bother.

Black cherry. Medium bodied. Silky soft tannins. Easy drinking. Quite enjoyable. Drink up, don’t cellar longer.
