50% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Syrah and Malbec
Inky purple. Graphite, menthol and herbs. Finishes bitter and bit green. Angular tannins. Very masculine. This reminds me of Madiran in some ways. Not great but provides some comfort on a cold night. There is a chance this could improve with a few more years, but wouldn't bank on it. This was a $9 buy from Premier Cru back when they used to actually sell wine they had.

Please note: I use a rating system in which 85 is a very good wine.
A decent bottle, but nothing particularly impressive. Fruit not that prominent. Not too acidic. Just not a lot going on, at least for me. I have another and I wll see what gives.

Quick note, ripe, warm nose of blackberry and red plum. More red fruit on the palate, bright red cherry and cassis it's a tannic wine with a touch of heat. I'd give it a bit more time to let the tannins resolve a bit hopefully the fruit will hold up.,

Deep fruit and tannins that paired well with grilled grass-fed beef and sautéed vegetables. Time may mellow it, but I enjoyed it as it is.

Expressive nose. Fresh palate, with an herbal quality. Bracing tannins and a long finish. Would probably benefit from a few more years of aging.
