Tasted side by side with a 2006 Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc to try to choose an early favorite white for this coming summer. Yellow gold to straw color. Nose of dried apricots and a little honey. The flavors were of dried tropical fruits and a little honey-like sweetness. A lot like eating trail mix without the seeds, nuts or raisins - just the good stuff. Really round and big mouthfeel. Couldn't get a group concensus on which white was better, but the men liked the Verdelho and the women liked the Sauvignon Blanc for whatever that's worth.

A great white- lemon and apricot, with a creamy, medium-to-full bodied texture. Despite all thatl, exhibited a bit of acidity and crispness. Had this with some aged gruyere and gouda.

Pale straw color, nose of citrus, lemon. Very heavy in the mouth almost creamy with a hint of peach and citrus on the palate followed by a touch of spice, the finish almost reminds me of a Grüner Veltliner. This is a full bodied white that you can sink your teeth in but this is not for everyone. With 14% alcohol this has little to no heat on the palate.

Went well with panko breaded fish. A little fruitier than SauvBlanc.

Such a simple, smooth white wine. Very fruity with grapefruit, and peaches. Drink cold.
