Wow! Pure, true and simple, drinking beautifully now, transparent ruby red in colour! Musky currant nose, rounded, rich Pauillac fruits on the palate! A little gem! Superb!

Friday Night Brown Bagger (EBCC): Diuble blind. Garnet core with a light meniscus. Aromas of black currant, earth, iron and iodine. Red and black currant on the palate, with soft tannins and nice balancing acidity. Guessed 2001 Pessac.(R&D)

Don’t know who brought this over — maybe from wine dinner?
Lovely claret that opened over three hours of being open.

Pretty classic bordeaux that is now showing mostly tertiary notes with a little fruit still. Improved in the glass for a little while. Drink up.
