6th and last bottle. What a buy for under$20 each. I'm looking for more in auctions! CF is a grape you schould try and Peju is a great lable when its young and 20 years old.
This wine has developed nicely. initially there is tension in the wine; it then flows into an smooth and quite big mouth and ends with a luscious bone dry tannic finish. This a great example of a good wine improving dramatically with age. People, most of you drank this way too early.

A nice surprise. I didn't know what to expect since stand-alone Cab Francs are relatively rare outside of right bank but this was very enjoyable. The wine exhibits a medium red color with some bricking and immediately jumps out of the glass with notes of red fruit, red licorice, and just the slightest touch of stewed berries. Medium weight suggests it is near peak, and I'd agree, though over the course of about two hours, the wine did not fade at all. Still, I'd suggest very close to/slightly past peak drinking now, as the tannins are too sweet to support any more evolving complexity. Nice long finish, very pleasant. Wish more California producers would stick there neck out with this varietal.

See my past tasting notes. This bottle was not quite as well developed as in my previous notes.

This bottle developed superbly. Flowery fruit that drinks like liquid velvet.
