I'm still liking it a year after my last taste. Enjoyed with a hearty boeuf borguignon stew that was frankly my wife's best interpretation to date of Julia's famous dish. I opened the bottles (yeah, we had two) a couple of hours before we sat down for apps and the wine was opening up just fine. Still has that wild forest berry fruit (not overwhelming) aroma and palate; detecting a hint of cigar box and chocolaty cedar too. Tannins seem well integrated now with only a faint pinch on the finish. Overall smooth and round - was a great value for the price.

Green, green, green. I don't know what was up with this bottle, but it was not like the last. It seemed like a completely different wine.

N: dark fruits, anise, a lot of alcohol
P: rounded, smooth, black fruits, 'tasted like a cab'
F: short
Nothing special. A nice drink, but not worth the $20 paid; there are better wines available for less.
