I'm new to Skewis but if they are all as good as this bottle I'll be buying more of them that's for sure. Starts with a very expressive nose even with only a half hour of decanting. Dark color with classic RR cherry characteristics. I thought the Skewis wines needed more time to show their stuff. This wine is drinking great now with lots of upside. Definitely a very nice qpr.

The most dark, brooding, and earthy of the Skewis 07's. Deep, dark cherry, bakers chocolate, porcini mushroom, and tree bark notes gain depth and complexity on the spicy, savory finish. Great sense of place here, as is the case with all of the Skewis wines. Lingers nicely. Should continue to improve, hit its stride around 2013, and drink well for a few more years after that.

Drinking nicely now with plenty of time to go. Very expressive nose. Deep, dark red fruit element with excellent acidity and balance.
