I have enjoyed this wine over the years, but sadly not as much tonight. Every bottle is different, so if you have one I advise drinking... Better safe than sorry.

Vague memory, cleaning up the cellar. Consistent with any vintage of Chalk Line, testatment to Jerry's wines. But I remember I hung onto this for a year beyond what I normally would have to see if it improves the wine. Unfortunately, no major difference between 3-6 months after release (after the obvious oak has blown off) and holding on to it. So drink up, it's the same experience. Save room in the cellar for Gun Metal, the Wanted, Alibi, etc. It will hold for another few years, just not improve.

(Guardian Cellars Chalk Line Red Blend Columbia Valley) A very pretty – although quite locked up - nose with light graphite, high-toned berries, anise, and vanilla. On the taste, an elegantly structured wine marked by red and black fruit, flowers, and a persistent finish. 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Syrah, 16% Cabernet Franc, and 19% Merlot. Aged in French oak (90% new). 425 cases produced.

Popped and poured after reading other reviews. Still fruit forward and you can still catch the oak flavor, but smooth and a nice finish. Drink up!
