This is my last of 3 wines of this cuvee. Nose of black cherry, raspberry, strawberry, rhubarb, and milk chocolate. Palate is a bit hot from the 14.8% abv which pokes through a bit. On the other side of that, it is a delicious and satisfying tasting experience, with syrupy red > black fruits, charcoal embers, cooking spices, and wet rocks. Nicely rounded tannins, still holding some tension, and very nice acidity keeping this wine fresh and still exciting. The finish is fairly long, showing spice and plummy fruit. Drink now and over the next 2-3 years, sooner than later. It is at a great point right now.

An outstanding Rhone blend. Had layers of flavored that lingered for minutes on the finish. Dark fruit with leather and tobacco that reminds me of my Great Grandfathers den. This is as good as this wine will get.

(Betz Bésoleil Grenache Columbia Valley) Ruby colored. An elegant, alluring nose with light toast, red berries, black licorice, and earth tones. Light on the palate with a bowl of red fruit. A refined wine that is exceptionally well balanced. A tribute to the Rhone style. 80% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, 5% Syrah.

A 2009 purchase, cellared really well. It had full flavor, excellent body, will definitely purchase this blend again.

Bright, brambly, balanced. I haven't had any recent vintages of this, but the older vintages are all ageing very nicely.
