A blend of 78% Zin and 22% Petite Sirah. Because the ‘08 was so bad, we opened this as a measuring stick. What an improvement over the ‘08! Like the ‘08, the color is a deep cranberry. The nose is molasses, dusty roses, sweet brown sugar and rhubarb. But the nose is also hot with alcohol. The palate is all that and so much more: fresh, vibrant and with verve. Brown sugar segues to molasses which segues to dusty rose. Rhubarb carries along a frame of tannins and acid. But the alcohol is out of balance. The wine is hot. A dollop of mocha slips across the finish. Some slight sediment. 14.6% alc. With grilled pork tenderloin with molasses and mustard glaze. Recommended.

A blend of 78% Zin and 22% Petite Sirah. The color has now transistioned from the bright cranberry is showed two years ago to a dark beef blood. The nose is somewhat muted with black fruit and rhubarb. Deft on the palate with rose dust, dark fruits and rhubarb on the attack and carrying the mid-palate. It delivers a finish of mocha and cola. While nothing offputting about the wine, it lacks balance. Some slight sediment. 14.6% alc. With chili. Recommended.

Nose was nice but on the palate the Fruit was very dark, almost pruney like a hot weather Italian red. Touch of oak on finish. Just didn't care for the heavy black fruit profile.

Dusty blueberry and cherry vanilla. Oak fully integrated and very smooth. These wines age incredibly well.

With pork BBQ. No real notes, but thought this was one of the better York Creeks. But not a loss to have it gone.
