  Deep red color with tawny rim. Mature aromas of stewed fruits, chocolate, red cherries and anise. Ripe, full bodied fruit in the mouth with very good depth and length. Lush but supple on the palate. This wine was slightly past its prime but actually improved a bit with time. Purchased on release from the distributor, I should have consumed this wine 5 or 6 years ago when it would have deserved a much higher score.

  Dark garnet. Plenty of dark fruit aromas. Medium full body. Less fruit flavors, as befits its age. Firm tannins, but not drying. Nice bottle.

  Intensive, frische Aromen von Kirsche, Tabak und Bitterschokolade, Pfeffer; am Gaumen klarer, ausgewogener und immer noch recht jung wirkender Wein; etwas zehrender Abgang
