Ripe, hedonistic Barossa shiraz. Clocks in at 15%. Waves of fruit lash the palate and there is a spirity oak presence. Chock full of flavour. Heartburn wine. While my palate has changed a lot since I last drank this in 2010, I think this was better as a younger wine. While good within its genre, you have to like the genre to like the wine. It's not for me.

Nose of ripe, but not overripe, dark fruit. Oak has a presence but is restrained. Nice palate weight with lots of depth. The ripe tannins provide a smooth, rounded mouthfeel. The is much more to this wine than the modern monolithic fruit bombs that some produce in SA.
