Started out less than opaque but by day 4 of being opened the wine darkened to an opaque purple, showing its age with a lighter ring around the glass edge. The aromas surge from glass with an enticing mix of blueberry, raspberry, and black cherry. The sip is smooth, concentrated, and rich, nicely laced together in a lattice of acid and tannin. Overall, one of the best Pinot Noirs made by Siduri.

This wine has the greatest concentration of flavors I have seen in a Siduri Pinot Noir since the 2002 Santa Maria Valley, and is a strong contender for the most concentrated Pinot from the Russian River. Very mouth coating with an intense rise when swallowed. Yet the color is not black but just dark ruby. The acidity is high enough to keep the sweetness from getting into candy. The fruits are black cherry, black plum, and blackberry. One might fear that this concentrated a wine will overwhelm foods, but no, foods still manage to contribute secondary flavors.

Nice pure cherry with good fruit intensity and slight cola qualities

Delicious rich dark cherry and berry aromas with hint of Asian spice and cedar notes on the palate and long finish. Simply delicious!
