Light clear straw color and a rather nice floral nose that has a sweet element to it, with some melon and stone fruit. Easy entry with a dry fruit structure...none of the sweetness that I picked up on the nose and a little stout on the alcohol...leaving a steady firm grip and medium finish.

I have been decidedly unimpressed with the Martinelli wines that I've been buying (largely on the basis of inflated Parker/Spectator scores); the reds have tasted like they are made from cough syrup, and the gewurztraminers taste like they have gasoline added. I know a bit of "gasoline" flavor is not unusual for a gewurz or white riesling, but it shouldn't be unduly harsh, which it is here, covering up an otherwise nice floral nose.

Floral nose. Peach, honeysuckle, apricot pit. Still drinking fairly well at 10 years.

Too much petrol for me and alcohol seemed a bit disjointed, but for the price who cares.

Nice Gewurt nose, dryer style with a creamy mid palate.
