Had this with dinner with friends with a vegetable 'soup' and a fine pork roast 'concoction'.
Still quite cloudy, this wine is still a lighter style that I think helps it shine. If wine is art in a bottle, I like to think of it as something like this. Sweet and macerated cherries (sugared?), there is more vanilla bean in it this go around and the toffee has faded a bit to the background. There additional spice that has entered the picture along with the cinamon but I couldn't place it. Fine balance and a super finish make me continue to rate this wine at 92 pts.

My original note is basically spot on. I like it even more than the last time. 92pts.
Whoa, what a difference. This wine was a favorite of Debbie's (and me too) when we had it first in May of 2004. Fortunately I was able to get more and it's still going strong. A cloudy violet, one expects a quite light experience as the color is not overly saturated. Smelling of sweet, ripe cherries and bits of toffee and heath bar, it's loaded with very fine tannins. These support a delicious montage of more sweet cherries, bits of spice, cinnamon, more toffee, a smidgen of vanilla and more. Enough acidity to baance it and a fine finish. Absolutely delicious, drink now. 91 TJ points.

Still very good but the fruit is not quite as vibrant as in the past. Time to drink up. 91pts.

Drank at Corkage's dinner in August. Very tasty still. The cinnamon and other spice notes have become a bit more dominant. I love this stuff. 92 pts
