Pretty nice Merlot that is hanging on for a while. Medium bodied, medium acidity, soft tannins, with some wood tannins, but it's well-integrated. Dried red fruits, like cherry and raspberry with a touch of tobacco leaf. Fruit is fading, but it's still there. I'm glad this was my last bottle though. Easy drinker and food friendly.

On the nose, I found black cherry, sweet herbal tea, undergrowth and lots of earth. On the palate, this showed a broad full body with masses of ripe berries and spice. The finish was long and fruity. This wine really stood out from the lineup and is further proof that holding North Fork Merlot for later release turns out truly stunning results.

Quite a perfumed black fruit nose. But the palate doesn't quite live up to the promise of the nose. It's very slightly disjointed and needs time to integrate.

Not bad as far as Merlots go. Took a bit of time to open up, but great nose.
