My wife served this to me blind. After tasting some 20 older Ridge Zins over the weekend, I guessed Zin. From the color in the glass, however, it did not look that old, however. Virtually no bricking. A bit of over-ripeness on the nose maybe, but lots of red fruit on the palate with balanced tannins and acidity. Still very fresh and youngish.
Really drinking quite nicely, though probably a year or two beyond its peak (which Draper had pegged as about 2003 from the notes on the back). This was picked up on Winebid recently for a very good price.
Served with homemade pizza, this was a great complement to the meal.

No notes. Consumed at a party, and enjoyed by all.
