(Spring Valley Vineyards Muleskinner Merlot Walla Walla Valley) Raspberries and bittersweet chocolate laced with light floral notes mark the nose. Rose hips and light herbal notes show through as the wine opens. Rich on the palate. Opens up and sails. The better of the two vintages. 100% Merlot. 14.9% alcohol.

Quite nice. Medium-Full bodied, old-world type wine. Had with flank steak.

Not nearly as good as the last. Sulphur on the nose and lots of stewed prune flavors. This wine is over the hill.

I was disappointed with this after cellaring for 4 years. It was so much better shortly after original release.

strong alcohol at opening, letting it rest for a while before going at it again. OK, and 2 hours later this stuff has mellowed. very good

Lots of spice and cigar box. A little hot, and a surprisingly short finish.
