Rich golden hue, slightly thin, perhaps because a little past peak drinking. I did not detect prominent oak, but more subtle, which complemented the sweet citrus taste. Nice but not special.

Not my preferred style but very nice tonight. Touch oaky, touch buttered popcorn, round melony tropical fruit, interesting cloudiness and almost touch spritz, drank with roasted chicken pot pie. Long lingering oak flecked finish.
Day 2 - oak becoming much more prominent, melony, full and etoh heavy.
Enjoyed night 1. Not so much night 2. Just not my style.

This is still an excellent wine, but the pronounced sugars are dominant, even for my taste. There is enough character to still enjoy, but it has definitely turned.

Dad loved and preferred to Kistler from a couple nights before. It was a more pale color and sweeter, but pleasant. It is getting past its prime.
