Drunk from a half-bottle. Interesting blend of shiraz and Chambourcin, the latter representing 32%. Apparently the shiraz comes from a block destined for the Dead Arm and is left on the vine for a further couple of weeks. The addition of the Chambourcin was apparently an error but it does work well. At 9 years, the flavours are coming together very nicely. There is no oak treatment and fruit is definitely to the fore. Plenty of plenty of berry and plummy flavours with a hint of christmas cake. Soft tannins and a very easy drink to finish off the night.
