Over the hill. As previous posters have mentioned, lacks structure, fairly one dimensional, and tertiary in taste. Solid wine making makes it still quite enjoyable.

Tasted over 2 hrs -nearly opaque deep violet, minimal clearing -juicy grapey -med- acidity, med weight rather uni-dimensional gentle grapey fruit with a somewhat medicinal finish, almost no tannic structure left -pleasant, soft and unstructured

Fun wine to check out. Still very much kicking. Has mellowed out and plays as a versatile food wine. Lots of red fruit, not much secondary yet though. Slightly too much American oak coming through for my taste.

Deep dark center, red rim with signs of age. Sweet, briar, blackberries, milk chocolate. Smooth, black raspberry, cherry jam, peaches, creamy, low tannin and acid, very good length of dark fruit and vinous grape juice. Huge contrast from the previous bottle, fruit driven, vibrant, a testament to Ridge wine making. Drink now.

Unusual seems the appropriate phrase. Clearly past the intended drinking window. But, it kind of works. Deep center, red rim with clear signs of age. Sweet, porty nose, cherry jam, tar. In the mouth there is a touch of oxidation, but good sweet fruit, tannin, chocolate, and a strong briar and bramble finish. Drink now, not to everyone's tastes I'm sure. Ridge quality shows.
