Decanted for two hours prior to tasting.
Dark garnet color; meaty nose
Richly complex amalgam of red and black fruit, plum, in particular, as well as spice, leather and rich umami. Time in the glass has softened the tannins, which were quite noticeable and firm upon opening. This wine is an infant at present, and it should reward a few years of cellaring. That said, it is wonderful now and it shows great potential.
