Did want the Aglianico from the same maker, however none left at the restaurant. Second choice is still excellent. A young wine. Bright ruby. Cherries, hints of vanilla. Palate juicy and ripe with fine tannins lingering. Went well with wild venison schnitzels.

Bright ruby in the glass. Delightful berry and oak nose, full berry and cherry front palate finishing with soft tannins and considerable length. Overall, very satisfying and great value for money.

On tour with Tim and Phil day two (Beechworth and King Valley): Savoury and meaty, wild cherry, a little earthy note. Medium plus intensity acidity, muted cherry fruit, plenty of drying talc textured tannins, slightly short. Hmm.
