Sad to see the last of these disappear from my cellar as it truly is a very enjoyable Pinot. Very bittersweet as the good folks at Holdredge are winding down their two decade plus run for their next adventure. Although I have not met them face to face, I quickly connected with their wines and personalities. Those who know me know I was a big fan of WesMar. When they decided to stop making wine after the 2019 vintage, I wondered where I would ever find another small production, outstanding Pinot winemaking husband and wife team. Enter John and Carri and my introduction to Holdredge wines. My only regret is not stumbling upon them sooner. This Pinot was a welcome addition to the wines I have from them. Dark blackberry notes lifted by black cherry flavors. With a savory streak. A couple of chapters ending.

Another winner on Christmas Eve with dark fruit and great mouthfeel. Blackberry and black cherry notes that are delivered on a very smooth, integrated entry. A touch of savory notes adds a bit of complexity and interest. This emerged as one of my Holdredge favorites over the course of time. Medium body is perfect for full enjoyment of this Pinot.

A stellar Pinot from Holdredge. Saralee is one of my favorite offerings from them. Perfumed dark fruit, deep color, but amazingly fresh and lively with medium weight. Full of flavor and great texture. Some potpourri aromas and a plethora of diverse flavors the roll across the palate. A great value and a commendable Pinot.

I think this has emerged as one of my top two favorites from Holdredge. It has a nice dark fruit foundation and appearance but has a nice weight and flavor profile. Some savory and earthy elements as well. Just a very easy bottle to enjoy and drink. I wish I had found this husband and wife team earlier in my Pinot explorations, as they are winding down their business after a very long and impressive run.

Took to our small group and this was quickly consumed. Consistent with prior notes and a good wine experience for all involved. Nice dark fruit with a bit of earthiness.
