Opened a few hours prior to drinking but didn't seem like it needed decanting so resealed. Upon tasting 3 hours later it was a terrific, classy wine. This is a complex, savoury driven wine of medium to heavy weight for a Pinot. It has leather, forest floor and cranberry and sour cherry. Nice with grlled salmon. Likely good for another 3 years, but I worry about the fruit dissipating

Featured at a Comparative Tasting at Dom. Drouhin Oregon versus the 2017 Dom. Drouhin Savigny-Les-Beaune Aux-Clous 1er Cru. Aged 14 months in (20% new) French oak after a 14 day fermentation. Best Barrels from the Dundee Hills Estate Vines. 100% Dijon Clones. 14.1% ABV. Light to medium ruby color. Nose is slightly more fruit forward with just hints of minerals. Palate has a creamy texture with Medium tannin and Medium+ acid. Strawberry, raspberry and red cherry show through on a relatively narrowly focused mid-palate. Moderately long finish. More open and drinkable at this stage than I might have expected. More attractive to drink than the SLB.

Really nice wine. Consistent with previous reviews. Served with herb encrusted lamb for Easter.

After an hour decant this was a beautiful bottle and pairing with a Mediterranean Shrimp dish last night.

Bright ruby red. Expressive nose of spice, raspberries and orange zest. Cherry with spice on palate. Elegant wine.
