Thinking about buying more to lay down in light of the 98 to 100 rating from WA but wanted to get an idea where it’s at first. Slow ox overnight for around ten hours and decanted for another nine hours. Originally I was planning to drink it over three days to see how it developed but I didn’t get there - too good on day one. Dark ruby fruit - currants, blackberry, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate with a beautiful purity and solid depth/concentration. Nice vibrant flavors of cassis, baking spices, cocoa, and a graphite component. Fairly long finish. Reminds me of a nice vintage of the Bevan Tench cab. No surprise of the 98-100 rating from WA. 96/97 for me at this really youthful stage. 100% cab.

This was fantastic but needed a good 3 hours in a decanter to help soften the tannins before it really hit its stride. Great stuff!
