I had tasted this same wine maybe 10 years ago when I was trying pretty much every Sauvignon Blanc under $20. I remember it being good.
I saw it at Costco for 15.99, which seemed like 20% less than other stores.
It is my third or possibly second favorite Sauvignon Blanc behind Craggy Range (and possibly Framingham). It has less citrus and acidity on the front end than other South Island (Marlborough) wines. It reminds me more of North Island with stone fruit flavor like peach. In this case, it was more like honeydew melon. It has a little more body/tongue weight, which I like. The citrus, green apple and minerality comes through on the clean, crisp finish.
The back label description is accurate. Full bodied, tropical fruit flavors..
I would definitely buy it again.
