Chewy cherries on the nose and palate. Nice ripe fruit flavours but a touch disappointing on structure and finish. A good Pauillac but take away its pedigree, I don’t think many would rate it much higher. I like it but was expecting more. This is the third bottle of Anseillan I have had and they are all consistent - good wine but not a great one.

Quite young, finding this wine to be different than the last bottle but still drinkable now and offers something. Would wait a year or two for the tannins to resolve more. That said, quite elegant and refined for what it is.

recent tastings less good--a little bit dense with acidic cherry and dark plum--still tight, not as open or multi-layered as I like...finding bottles to be hit or miss...either good or really amazing

Shows the Lafite pedigree. Still young, but drinkable with great pleasure now. Light on it's feet, but packed with fruit. Suggest waiting until tannins resolve. Elegent and refined young wine made from cast off fruit. Good finish. Less Cabernet than in the grand cru.

I can see the Lafite resemblance and definitely pick up on the tobacco signature. Definitely Bordeaux, not as Pauillac in character as some describe. Still very youthful. Decant and drink with food.
