An interesting, if predictable, experiment in winemaking. The wine highlights the natural aromatics of exceptionally-grown California pinot - lots of red fruit and flowers - but without the body or power the winery is known for. At best, it serves as an academic comparison showing what oak does for wine, but probably doesn't really ever need to exit their tasting room.

Really delicious. Still young and vibrant with big, ripe, red fruit throughout but very balanced and subtle for a Sonoma PN. Probably needs some time open/decanted to really sing.
