A little bit crisper that I remember it being. But still delicious stuff here. Not quite as aromatic as I remember it being as well. Seems oddly shut down. Odd in general.

Husch has a staple in Anderson Valley, blessed with a cool climate just 25 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Will know for this varietal , with SB & an off dry Chenin Blanc, but this as it is listed on the label “dry Gewertztraminer”. This is very different than previous bottlings. A pine needle, smoked or dried saddlewood , Fruits of melon, kiwi, lychee , and some light passion fruit and hard pie spices. Must have been some oak aging involved from what I’m picking up. In the mouth more of the same flavors but very dry , light defined fruit expression , some hollowness with some dehydrated blood orange peal which is a bit bitter. Don’t know where the dry cloyiness and forest floor elements are coming from , but not a positive dynamic.

Quite crisp, not as aromatic as a lot of gewürztraminers. Some saffron and green melon on the nose. A touch of salinity on the palate, and some acid.
