This is a richer CA version of pinot. Not the usual lighter style I'm used to. Rich dark nose that still smells like a darker version of pinot. Pallet was on the richer, darker fruit side with good body and length. Acid was a little lower than I'd like but overall this wasn't a bad wine just not what I'd expect from this maker and this varietal.

Surprisingly sweet and a bit candied — and for us, indeed it is a bit lush — with insufficient acidity. Compared with prior vintages, this was a disappointment. Consistent results over multiple days, gassed in between. Hmmm.

A serious Pinot - good cherry and raspberry, but also a bit dark and brooding. Herbal, tea, some oak. Not thin and bright - lush and textured. My benchmark for this style is Sojourn Gap’s Crown.
This was a good wine with solid balance and complexity, but maybe not beauty.

Decanted an hour. Sugared red fruit. Sweet yeasted dough. Cinnamon. Perfectly fine, well built. Not particularly distinctive; Just a real nice bottle of wine.
