Bottle 2 of 2 and this my palate tasted alot more jamminess and bramble than the first bottle. I should've given a decant like the first one. 98% Zin and 2% Petite Sirah. 14.2% abv. Red and dark fruits, cinnamon, baking spice.

23 barrels produced of this Ridge Zin made from grapes from a small, old vine vineyard in the Chalk Hill appellation. Nearby Russian River Valley provides a cooling influence. Very light colored Zin, looks almost like a PN. Not as bold or spicy as the majority of Zins. Very tasty with cherry, baking spice, cinnamon, dark fruits flavors.

Fruity and balanced but something at the finish turned me against it. Wife called it minerality, I felt like it was a bit like charcoal
