Medium ruby, very tightly wound, even the next day, and not giving off much fruit, but there’s some sour cherry and subtle cedar. Definitely an enigmatic wine that is food friendly, with nice acidity. I am curious what an Etna Rosso riserva would be like, but I cannot lie... I’m hesitant to dive deeper into pricier expressions of this varietal for fear there might not be much going on there.

Second time trying Etna rosso - again summer berries/strawberries, more tannin than I remember, good value easy drinking wine. Had it with duck.
