Sweet on the nose, with notes of bubble gum and candied fruits, red fruits on the palate, light bodied, acidic, a bit bland, can't say it's a bad wine, but just too simple. Not enjoyable IMO, can get much better Australian GSM at this price point.

Friday at the strand (Strand Cellars, Croydon): Slightly reductive, farty, spicy; savoury, alcohol lends a little peppery prickle, with time a little jubey note. Medium plus intensity acidity lends a bit of sharpness and rather dominates proceedings. Alcohol then tannins the flavours in descending order. Meh.
