Pretty coppery salmon color with a fine mousse. Not as aromatic as I would have liked, but there are lovely smells of strawberry, red cherry, lemon custard, and baking bread. Much less fruit on the palate than on the nose. Plenty of flavors of chalk, violets and lavender, fresh bread that dominated the delicate fresh red fruit. The acidity is pleasantly high. And that is the perfect word for this wine- pleasant. Though perhaps not know your socks off. I'm agnostic about aging this further.

Billecart rose NV has always been the benchmark of good rose champagne. This 2010 one off is a little off. Should have been much better than the NV but acidity was just significantly raised. There are some interesting components going on but somehow not as enjoyable as the NV.

I know this is young but I thought this lacked some intensity. Stawberries, cherries, and some yeastiness. Subtle effervescence, especially compared to the brut reserve (non-rose) next to it. I’ll wait some years with my other bottle.

2010 Billecart Salmon Brut Rosé. Alc 12.5% Moderate clear pink. Tiniest of bubbles. Beautiful mousse. Intense with a bit of yeastiness. Nice crispness and focus

Nice and ripe but still plenty of acidity. Strawberry, watermelon, vanilla, white flower and mineral. Drinking great now as an approachle style.
